About Erin

Erin and her husband Chris have been married for 14 years, and have one son, John Luke. They are members of Trinity Episcopal Church in Clarksville.
Judge Erin Poland Nolder currently serves as the Division V General Sessions and Juvenile Judge in Montgomery County after being appointed to the bench by a large majority of Montgomery County Commissioners on December 8th, 2025.
Highly respected by her peers in the legal community, Erin previously served as Senior Attorney and Firm Partner for Poland and Poland Attorneys at Law. She was Lead Counsel for Criminal and Civil Litigation and has appeared and argued before the Tennessee Supreme Court, the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals, the Tennessee Court of Appeals, the United States District Court, as well as Circuit, Chancery, General Sessions, and Juvenile Court in counties across Tennessee and Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
In addition to her legal practice, Erin has dedicated her entire adult life working with at-risk juveniles. The experience has not only deepened her understanding of the legal challenges faced by our youth but has also underscored the importance of minimizing juvenile crime and how it cycles into children becoming adult offenders.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Criminology from Western Kentucky University, her Master’s degree in Criminology from Western Kentucky and in 2007 her Juris Doctorate Degree from the Nashville School of Law.
Erin has been involved with numerous philanthropic and community organizations including Kiwanis International, NSL Legal Society, Wills for Heroes, Leadership Clarksville, Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association, and the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Nolder is Past President and Vice President of the Montgomery Bar Association and is a member of the NRA, Montgomery County Republican Women, Red River Republican Women, and the Montgomery Republican Party.
